Flying Mullet Fish hits me.
While boating on Durban bay South Africa we were jokingly talking about a mullet (fish) jumping out of the water and hitting one of us. What happened next we probably couldn't record in another 1000+ takes.
The fish hit me square in the chest.

Black Rock River - Part 2 - Mahlongwa River Breach

Part 2 of the natural breach of the Black Rock ( Mahlongwa) river on the Natal South Coast - KZN - South Africa. Sorry about some of the audio and video quality . A wet phone ,although fully waterproof , made the mic and lens hazy at times. I still laugh at some of my own narration of the event.

Bass session with my boys. With cooler evenings we hoped to find fish feeding. That we did. Found a few shoals chasing bait in weedbeds. What fun ! The Cane Thumper rigged weedless was THE bait !

THANKS SO MUCH
First look: ""Wow. Nature is so beautiful and calm" Nature: "Hold my beer. I gots some fish in this here river that need salt."
its called erosion, honey!
It's oddly inspiring to see a small stream of water turn into a full blown breach. *Nods* *in* *thought*
A giant tsunami comes from behind, last words oh shit!
The camera man didn't show the moment of meeting of the river water with sea water.
Get this guy a tripod and move him away.
Don’t you just love mother nature 🙏
No boogie boarding? What a missed opportunity

i dare you to find any women in the comments
I'm a woman. Is there a problem?
Surfers 🏄
Incredible how the sand berm held back that huge weight of water and all it took was a trickle to erode into a torrent. Nature is amazing
You could have left the camera there for n hour and I would have watched

Где такой мост и река?
South Africa.
South Africa.
Well, that's 3 minutes of my life I'm not getting back... 😅
Jamie O’Brien….hold my beer.
This is how the Grand Canyon was formed. The North American Inland Sea was left behind by the global flood and when a breach formed, it grew and grew and became the Grand Canyon. There were no millions of years involved in forming the Grand Canyon. It formed rapidly. You can see that just by looking at it.
Freezing...at 11c.... Absolute amateur...that's lovely and warm
52F.
Fresh water fish wont like their new "go free" home lmao
beach pond river
beach pond river
"totally natural breach" bruh..you can see the trench you dug to get it started
It would have broken through anyway. All rivers flow to an ocean or sea.
Your camera work needs help you keep moving around stop moving around!
Stop moving around
On a side note, this is how canyons are formed, canyons are formed when a large mass of water rips through the earth with massive force, then, when flood or water recedes, you're left with a canyon, as in the Grand Canyon of Arizona, ect. Small little creeks did not carve out the Grand Canyon, as goofy scientist have taught people over the decades.
in hawaii we would do this and surf the output
Cut the guy some slack, you all wanna be stimulated for free, not understanding the persons circumstances get a grip.
I hope he didn’t dig the initial trench… based on his continued surprise he seems to have trouble with the concept of gravity…
My Word !!
Every river ends in an ocean...
Good for teaching kids about how canyons are made
It’s amazing how there was already a deep gauge in the river’s edge just as you ‘happened’ upon it.
I have a sudden urge to yell "Benny, looks like your on the wrong side of the river!"
Same way the grand canyon was carved
good day at black rock.................
I watched both parts - great... First you can walk past the beach and then you almost need the coast guard 🙂
Remember when you say natural occurrence to remove the wood stick from the scene😂
The shows that Even in life you can start small and grow bigger 🎉
amazing. wonder how the river got silted up in the first place...
I would not be able to help myself
If the fish from the river get into the ocean , and they are not used to saltwater, it is not going to be very good for them!
estuary fish can handle both salt water and freshwater. Salmon go from hatching in rivers to living out in the ocean to going back into the rivers to breed.
Completely natural except for the obvious ruts cut with a stick to get it started...
